LA GRANDE, Ore. – The EOU Foundation is planning for another successful Giving Tuesday campaign, starting with early promotional efforts and culminating into an organic campaign, coinciding with the national Giving Tuesday platform.
The national nonprofit organization, GivingTuesday, created the concept in 2012 as a way to engage in generosity worldwide and positivity. Any organization can participate in ways to best support their organizations.
“We have an incredible opportunity to leverage the national awareness of the GivingTuesday platform,” said Emily Adams, Executive Director of Philanthropy for EOU and the EOU Foundation. “This year, we’re using this day as an opportunity to inform EOU alumni and friends about all of the stellar programs and resources we have here.”
This year, the Foundation is focusing on #GivingTuesday as a tool to share and promote unique projects and programs from across campus. Donations received this year will support a wide range of student services – from degree programs including Chemistry and Agriculture Entrepreneurship, to more extracurricular-based opportunities including the Outdoor Adventure Program and Trapshooting Team – and more.
“When people come together and donate to the Foundation, they are truly making an impact on the lives of EOU students,” said Adams. “It’s incredible and truly humbling to know how many people want to support EOU. We see their impact every day – more students succeed in their education here because of the people who support them.”
