Chad Bowers, a native a Los Angeles, California, had never set foot on the Eastern Oregon University campus until the day before EOU’s 93rd Commencement Ceremony. But, on Saturday, June 17, 2023 Bowers lined up in his cap and gown and accepted his degree in Health and Human Performance.
“I actually really liked it,” Bowers said after earning his degree online, “it was kind of intimidating at first because I had never done it before, but you do it at your own pace. It’s hard when you work full time.”
Bowers found EOU when a friend, a former alumna, recommended the remote program.
“I liked the options they offered, they made it easy,” Bowers said. “Everyone was so helpful, and it’s nice to be here for commencement and see the campus.”
