La Grande, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon University Foundation will once again host a Giving Tuesday campaign, starting with early promotional efforts and culminating into an organic campaign, coinciding with the national Giving Tuesday platform.
The national nonprofit organization, GivingTuesday, created the concept in 2012 as a way to engage in generosity worldwide and promote generosity as a daily action. Any organization can participate in a variety of ways to best support their organizations.
“The national GivingTuesday platform is a great tool to leverage for EOU and our students,” said Tim Seydel, Vice President for University Advancement at EOU. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to showcase the impact of giving.”
Donations received this year will support a wide range of student services including scholarships and student services including the student food pantry and the crisis scholarships. Each year, EOU highlights student success for Giving Tuesday, ranging from programs and clubs to support services and individual accomplishments.
“There are so many opportunities to provide support in the areas people are passionate about. When people give to the Foundation, they are truly changing the lives of EOU students,” said Seydel. “We get to see the outcomes of scholarships and program resources every day. Students succeed in their education here because of the people who make a difference. Supporting a campaign like Giving Tuesday helps ensure these services remain possible.”To learn more about the EOU Foundation and its projects and programs, visit eou.edu/foundation.
