EOU Homecoming

EOU Homecoming

What an incredible Homecoming 2024 at Eastern Oregon University!

This year’s event saw a fantastic turnout, with alumni, students, and community members coming together to celebrate our EOU pride.

All of our sports teams performed exceptionally well, showcasing the talent and spirit that makes EOU so special. The alumni games were a huge hit, bringing past and present athletes together for some friendly competition. And who could forget the picture-perfect weather that made this Homecoming weekend even more magical?

One of the highlights was the induction of this year’s Athletics Hall of Fame members. We proudly celebrated the 2014 Volleyball Team, Chris Ware (Football 2008-12), Tim Riley (Cross Country/Track & Field 1999-2004), Jason Follett (Track & Field 1996-2000), Dixie Lund, who received the Meritorious Athletic Service Award, and Greg Grant, honored with the Mountaineer Athletic Legacy Award. These individuals have left an indelible mark on EOU Athletics and were celebrated for their outstanding contributions and achievements.

The Homecoming Parade was also one for the history books! It was one of the largest in EOU history, with both student organizations and community partners coming together to create an unforgettable experience. The Navigators Club took home the 1st place award for best parade float, with close competition from ASEOU, the Chemistry Club, and the Speel-Ya Club.

At the alumni breakfast, attendees got a unique taste of what it truly means to be a “pizza EOU” 🍕—a moment that left everyone inspired and connected to our university’s spirit and tradition.

The tailgate zone was buzzing with excitement and energy, making it the perfect lead-up to game time! The enthusiasm and pride were contagious throughout the entire weekend, leaving us all eager for what’s next.

We’re already hard at work planning Homecoming 2025 and can’t wait to continue building on the success of this year’s event. Thank you to everyone who made Homecoming 2024 such an amazing celebration. We’ll see you next year!
