Maxine Scates March 14 • 7:30 p.m. • Huber Auditorium
Scates is the author most recently of Undone (New Issues Press). She is coeditor, with David Trinidad, of Holding Our Own: The Selected Poems of Ann Stanford. Her work has received the Agnes Lynch Starrett Poetry Prize, the Oregon Book Award for Poetry, the Lyre Prize, a Pushcart Prize and fellowships from Literary Arts and the Oregon Arts Commission.
Crystal Williams April 19 • 7:30 • Huber Auditorium
Williams is the author of three collections of poems, most recently Troubled Tongues, winner of the 2009 Naomi Long Madgett Poetry Prize, finalist for the 2009 Oregon Book Award, and shortlisted for the Idaho Prize.
Barry Kitterman May 9 • 7:30 p.m. • Huber Auditorium
Kitterman is the author of the novel The Baker’s Boy, winner of the 2009 Maria Thomas Peace Corps Writers Award for Fiction, and the short story collection San Joaquin, both from Southern Methodist University Press.
Brian Doyle May 22 • 7:30 • Huber Auditorium
Brian Doyle is the author of eleven books, including two of poetry, and seven nonfiction, one of which was about Oregon wineries. His most recent is the novel, Mink River.
