Career Expo

Eastern Oregon Career Expo

April 2, 2025

In partnership with the Eastern Oregon Workforce Board and WorkSource Oregon, the EO Career Expo takes place the first Wednesday in April on the EOU Campus in La Grande.

This regionally focused event provides a venue for local and regional employers to connect with student job seekers looking for part-time, seasonal, and career-track positions.

Job Fair

Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location:
Field House

Employers highlight job openings from seasonal, part-time, and career-track positions along with sharing valuable information about occupations found within their respective industries.

Prep & Support Stations

A variety of work-search preparation topics, career planning, and employment support are represented at tables as you enter the job fair and as you wrap-up your time visiting with employers. These stations represent topics from resume review, to featured career pathways, specialized employment support for military families, and a warm-up exercise on how to start a conversation with an employer.

Student Employment

Connecting Experiential Learning through Work-Based Learning Opportunities

Work-Based Learning is Valuable! Students engaging in internships and meaningful employment have an opportunity to apply subject matter knowledge and skill development learned in their courses. Expo employers are ready to discuss how their internships, part-time, and/or seasonal employment positions provide work-based learning and assist students in career exploration.

Career-Track Employment

Connecting Upcoming EOU Graduates and Part-Time Students with Employers

Expo employers are ready to network and showcase their career-focused positions and highlight the benefits of working within their industry.

This event is made possible through a partnership between WorkSource Oregon, the Eastern Oregon Workforce Board, and the Eastern Oregon University’s Career Services Department.
