Outreach & Recruitment Student Lead
The Outreach & Recruitment Student Lead supports student employment on campus by engaging students in job opportunities and increasing awareness of the benefits of student employment. This role is ideal for students interested in gaining experience in communications, marketing, case management, and project planning. The position allows for a flexible schedule and contributes directly to student success.

Experiential Learning: | This position offers experience in outreach, marketing, communication, and event planning. Students will gain an understanding of recruitment strategies and workforce development while developing essential career-readiness skills applicable to various career paths. |
Professional Development: | Students will receive training in recruitment, hiring processes, and career exploration, with opportunities to develop social media marketing skills and attend Career Services workshops, including resume review and career expos. |
Summary of Job Duties/Responsibilities/Essential Functions: | – Communicate the value of student employment to incoming and current students – Develop social media content and stories showcasing student employment experiences – Create print media and marketing materials for outreach and recruitment – Maintain the Career Services website with updated resources – Promote job openings through campaigns, presentations, and events – Provide customer service to students inquiring about employment – Assist with job placements and recruitment efforts – Support the development of job descriptions and postings – Manage job boards to ensure up-to-date listings – Track student job-seekers and maintain records – Assist with event planning and logistics |
Minimum Qualifications: | – Currently enrolled at EOU with at least 6 credits (undergraduate) or 9 credits (graduate) – In good academic standing (GPA 2.0 or higher) – Interest in learning about the connection between student employment and workforce-readiness |
Preferred Qualifications: | – Experience in communication, marketing, or sales – Experience managing projects demonstrating initiative and teamwork – Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation |
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: | – Understanding of job search and hiring processes – Ability to use spreadsheets for tracking and decision-making – Strong organizational and multitasking abilities – Ability to work independently and as part of a team |
