Financial Aid Student Receptionist
This is a low-stress, student-friendly position that provides structured work hours while allowing time for academic responsibilities. As the first point of contact in the Financial Aid Office, you’ll greet visitors, direct students to the appropriate resources, and assist with light office tasks. In addition to gaining valuable customer service and office experience, this role offers a flexible schedule and a quiet work environment where students can balance work and school.

Type of work schedule | Flexible scheduling between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Priority will be given to shifts between late morning and early afternoon (e.g., 10 AM – 3 PM). |

It also provides insight into financial aid processes, which can be valuable for students pursuing careers in business, administration, student services, or higher education. |

Summary of Job Duties/Responsibilities/Essential Functions: | – Greet and direct students, staff, and visitors to the appropriate resources – Answer basic questions about financial aid processes and refer more complex inquiries to staff – Maintain a welcoming front desk environment – Assist with light office tasks such as organizing documents and sorting paperwork – Maintain and update your own resume during the course of employment, ensuring it is professional and ready for future job applications by the end of the position. |
Minimum Qualifications: | – Must be in good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher). – Must have Federal Work Study. – Strong communication and customer service skills – Ability to work independently and stay on task |
Preferred Qualifications: | – Previous customer service or office experience is helpful but not required – Interest in learning more about financial aid and student services |
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: | – Friendly and welcoming attitude – Ability to handle confidential information responsibly – Good organizational skills and attention to detail – Comfortable with light administrative tasks |
