Job Duration | Academic Year 2026 – September 2025 through June 2026. This position is not expected to work during academic breaks like the EOU end-of-year closure in December or Spring break. |
Type of work schedule | Flexible schedule – agreed upon. During the hours of 8 am – 4 pm, Monday – Friday. |
Estimated numbers of hours per week | Up to 19 hours per week during the academic term. No more than 29 hours per week unless working during breaks. Schedule negotiable if hired. |
Experiential Learning: | Students will gain hands-on experience in managing social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), organizing events, and supporting research projects. They’ll also develop operational skills applicable to careers in business, marketing, and administration. |
Professional Development: | Students will learn to create promotional materials using Canva, coordinate event logistics using Google Suite and Zoom, and operate standard office equipment. Supervisor guidance will support skill growth and professional confidence. |
Summary of Job Duties/Responsibilities/Essential Functions: | – Create and manage social media content – Demonstrate strong professional communication skills – Uphold professionalism and accuracy in all assigned tasks |
Minimum Qualifications: | – Earned a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field – Accepted into the EOU MBA program – Maintain good academic standing (3.0 GPA or higher) – Capable of working independently and staying focused on tasks |
Preferred Qualifications: | – At least 6 months experience managing social media for a business or organization |
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: | – Excellent written and verbal communication skills. – Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. – Collaborative and team-oriented mindset. – Ability to perform light administrative tasks comfortably. |
