This is a unique opportunity for a self-motivated student to manage the social media presence of EOU’s intramurals
program. The role provides flexibility and creative freedom, allowing students to develop marketing skills while
working independently.

Estimated numbers of hours per week | 5–10 hours per week. Will include some shifts in the afternoons/evenings (when intramurals takes place). |
Experiential Learning: | This position provides valuable hands-on marketing experience, enabling the student to design and execute social media strategies. They will learn how to analyze audience engagement, adapt marketing efforts based on analytics, and craft visually appealing and effective content. These skills directly connect to coursework and future opportunities in business, communications, and marketing. |
Professional Development: | This position will give the student practical experience managing real-world marketing projects. They will learn by doing, which includes designing social media content, creating engagement strategies, and analyzing audience responses. Access to tools like Canva will help the student refine their design and branding skills, with the freedom to explore creative approaches. |
Summary of Job Duties/Responsibilities/Essential Functions: | – Manage the intramurals social media accounts, including content creation and posting. – Design marketing materials such as posts, stories, and videos using tools like Canva. – Plan and maintain a content calendar for consistent posting. – Monitor and assess audience engagement and adapt content strategies as needed. – Communicate with the supervisor for general guidance. |
Minimum Qualifications: | – Current enrollment at EOU. – In good academic standing. – Federal Work Study eligibility. – Familiarity with social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. |
Preferred Qualifications: | – Pursuing a degree in business, marketing, or communications. – An interest in learning social media marketing through hands-on experience. – Experience working independently or managing self-directed projects. |
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: | – Strong communication and self-management skills. – Willingness to learn tools like Canva or similar platforms. – Creative problem-solving and adaptability to work independently. |
