Teachers and Administrators

Thank you for being willing to partner with Eastern Oregon University with our sponsored dual credit courses.  You’re a vital part of the program and we look forward to supporting you throughout the year.

Interested in teaching dual credit?

Partnering to offer dual credit courses involves specific requirements for teachers and district administrations. Detailed expectations can be found in the Early College Handbook.

  • Guide students in filling out their application for Eastern Oregon University.
  • If applicable, send home and communicate directly with the Early College Initiative’s office upon receiving students’ financial responsibility forms.
  • Scan and email completed financial responsibility forms to eci@eou.edu.
  • Attend two PLC meetings with PLC leaders and one annual orientation with ECI.
  • Complete all planned EOU faculty training before the first day of the high school dual credit class.
  • Administration will be notified if the Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HECC) guidelines are not followed to ensure compliance with state regulations by the university and high schools.
  • Adhere to all deadlines to ensure students are successfully enrolled in coursework and receive credit for their classes.

Summer 2024 Dates

  • May 10, 2024 – High school student registration opens for Summer term
  • June 24, 2024 – Summer term classes begin
  • June 28, 2024 – Last day to add a class from EOU online/on-campus Faculty via Mountie Hub
  • July 18, 2024 – Last day to drop a course with no grade
  • September 6, 2024 – Spring term ends

Fall 2024 Dates

  • August 5, 2024 – High school student registration opens for Fall term
  • September 23, 2024 – Fall term classes begin
  • September 27, 2024 – Last day to add a class from EOU online/on-campus Faculty via Mountie Hub
  • October 18, 2024 – Last day to add a class from high school dual credit instructor via Mountie Hub
  • October 18, 2024 – Last day to drop a course with no grade
  • December 13, 2024 – Fall term ends

Winter 2025 Dates

  • November 8, 2024 – High school student registration opens for Winter term
  • January 6, 2025 – Winter term classes begin
  • January 10, 2025 – Last day to add a class from EOU online/on-campus Faculty via Mountie Hub
  • January 31, 2025– Last day to add a class from high school dual credit instructor via Mountie Hub
  • January 31, 2025 – Last day to drop a course with no grade
  • March 21, 2025 – Winter term ends

Spring 2025 Dates

  • February 14, 2025 – High school student registration opens for Spring term
  • March 31, 2025 – Spring term classes begin
  • April 4, 2025 – Last day to add a class from EOU online/on-campus Faculty via Mountie Hub
  • April 25, 2025 – Last day to add a class from high school dual credit instructor via Mountie Hub
  • April 25, 2025 – Last day to drop a course with no grade
  • June 13, 2025 – Spring term ends

Need training for students or teachers directly from Early College Specialists? Let us know! If a student is struggling with getting registered or you see it to be beneficial for EOU to bring someone in to have the entire dual credit class or multiple courses have additional support around Registration time, please contact us to set up a day to have one of our specialists come and visit.
