Leafletting on Campus

Leafletting on Campus: Policies and Procedures

Eastern Oregon University welcomes individuals and groups to share information with our campus community through leafletting. Leafletting is defined as “promoting an activity or product by directly handing small printed handbills or fliers to passersby.” This activity offers a unique way to connect with students, staff, and visitors in an engaging and personal manner.

Designated Locations

To maintain a welcoming and organized campus environment, leafletting is permitted only in the following locations:

  • The One University Blvd Roundabout
  • The Quad

Registration Requirement

To ensure the smooth coordination of campus activities, anyone wishing to leaflet must register in advance with Event and Conference Services. Registration includes specifying the date, time, and location of your activity.

Additional Notes

  • Leafletting within the Hoke Student Union is restricted to recognized student groups, student office candidates, other students, and administrative users. Outside individuals or groups may only leaflet in Hoke if sponsored by a recognized student group or administrative user.
  • Other forms of distribution, such as handing out product samples or religious publications, must also adhere to these guidelines.

For more information or to register your leafletting activity, please contact Event and Conference Services at 541.962.3573, schedule@eou.edu, or place an online request at https://forms.eou.edu/Forms/Event-Requestor or visit our office.
