Gutenberg is now your editor. Step 1 Don’t Panic

Welcome to the world of Gutenberg Blocks. The new editor has been installed and is now ready for use. This means that over time EOU staff will be migrating previous content into the new block structure and will use the training article as a guide, along with a few specific video tutorials (coming soon) – showing the best approach to handling conversions like the Grid into Gutenberg Columns, Managing your Buttons, and other items as challenges are identified. For now though…

Don’t Panic!

By default all of your previous content has been wrapped up into a single Classic Editor Block.

This allows EOU staff and website contributors push content into Gutenberg Blocks in an efficient and manageable way and not with an overwhelming sense of urgency. For now, if you don’t touch it, nothing will change.

As your site pages require content updates it is recommended that you work through the entirety of that page into the new block structure before publishing the updates. For those who have the time and feel comfortable moving forward, sub pages may be converted at a pace that works for your department.

Review the training documents and look for additional tutorials.
