Mountie Allies Training Program

Mountie Allies is a network of allies composed of students, faculty and staff who are committed and trained to provide safe, non-judgmental, and supportive contacts for all EOU community members who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender or queer.

The Mountie Allies Training Program is a two part training program. Participants will attend a Mountie Allies Training 101 in which we will cover the basics of ally training with definitions and interactive activities to give participants an introductory experience into what it means to be an ally. After 101, for those participants that are comfortable and committed into being Mountie Allies we will go more in-depth with personal testimonies and current events that affect the LGBTQ+ community in 102. After participants have completed Mountie Allies Training 102, they will be handed a sticker designating them as trained LGBTQ+ Mountie Allies.

You can identify Mountie Allies trained people on the EOU campus by the upside-down rainbow triangle sticker, which is displayed on their office door or workplace.

If you would like to become a certified Mountie Ally to the LGBTQ+ community, we will be posting training dates each term. You can also contact the Multicultural Center at (541) 962-3741 or email mccenter@eou.edu for more information.

Request a Sticker

Certified trainers who change office locations or lose a sticker can request for a new one.
