LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University invites campus and community members to attend a celebratory Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Friday, May 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the newly completed Grand Staircase. This special event marks the completion of major renovations to Inlow Hall, the university’s iconic administrative building as well as the completion of the Grand Staircase,  and honors a legacy of tradition and transformation.

The evening will feature drop-in guided tours showcasing highlights of the Inlow Hall renovation, offering guests a chance to explore restored spaces, discover historical details, and see firsthand how state investments have preserved and modernized one of EOU’s cornerstone buildings.

Remarks from project supporters and special guests will begin shortly after 5:15 p.m., reflecting on the project’s significance to the university and broader community. The celebration will culminate in a live musical performance honoring EOU’s cherished Evensong tradition, a time-honored musical experience that connects generations of Mountaineers.

All members of the campus and surrounding community are invited and encouraged to attend. Light refreshments will be provided, and attendees are welcome to explore Inlow Hall throughout the evening.

Join us in celebrating this meaningful step forward for EOU—honoring the past, celebrating the present, and stepping into the future.
