Editor
The editor must be a part-time upper division or graduate student of Eastern Oregon University. The applicant must be an upper division student in good standing with the university and have completed a minimum of twelve credit hours of creative writing (fiction, poetry, and non-fiction).
The responsibilities of the editor include but are not limited to the following:
- Distribution and promotion of Oregon East in Fall quarter
- Creating and submitting a budget to the Student Fees Committee
- Calling for submissions of writing and art work through campus media
- Read manuscripts and make decisions on accepting and rejecting work
- Maintain regular office hours
- Establishing deadlines for submissions of copy
- Layout and design of the magazine
- Proofreading
- Maintaining a working relationship with the advisor of the magazine
- Orientating the new editor
