Finish the climb: Re-enroll today!

The stress of juggling finances, a job and household tasks can make completing your degree seem like a stretch, but finishing what you started at EOU has the potential to transform your life. EOU offers support systems that make going back to school possible for all types of students. Get started with these easy steps!

Steps to Success

Step 1: Talk it Out

Talk to EOU’s trained Student Success staff for assistance navigating your educational journey each step of the way. Get your questions answered, connect with Financial Aid and start the process.

Christina Henderson – Re-Engagement Specialist | 541-962-3290 or clhenderson@eou.edu

Kathleen Brown – Student Success Coordinator | 541-962-3142 or kbrown@eou.edu

Step 2: Gather your support system

Reach out to family members, friends or co-workers who can give you encouragement, motivation and support. There are also support systems on campus: tutoring, advising, student clubs, internships and mentors keep students engaged in coursework and on track to succeed.

Step 3: Apply for re-admission

If you have been absent for more than three consecutive quarters (not including summer), you will need to fill out the Re-Admit Application. There is no application fee and this will re-activate your student status.

Step 4: Financial aid & scholarships

Apply for federal financial aid at fafsa.ed.gov by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. EOU’s school code is 003193.

Returning students could still qualify for scholarships. Follow the button to see which ones you qualify for.

Step 5: College credit for life experiences

If you have significant life or work experiences, check out EOU’s Assessment of Prior Experiential Learning program and see if you could turn life experience into college credit.

Step 5: Wrap up your final steps with your advisor

Get in touch with an advisor and make sure that everything is in order!

“Coming back to school at Eastern Oregon University has been one of the best things I’ve ever done. I almost can’t believe I just knocked two full terms off my time in college by using Credit for Prior Learning. I’m so jazzed to be jumping into the computer science coursework where I belong, instead of starting all over again, and I’m having a lot of fun with my classes!”
