Move-In Day

WHEN:

September 18, 2024, is Move-In Day for the Fall term. Move-In times will be divided. Please see below for the breakdown. Students may be accompanied by no more than two additional individuals, besides themselves when moving into the Halls.

September 18 – North Hall and Daugherty Hall

                                Room A or C: 9 AM to 12 PM

                                Room B or D: 1 PM to 4 PM

September 19 – Alikut Hall

                                Room A or C: 9 AM to 12 PM

                                Room B or D: 1 PM to 4 PM

September 19 – EOCENE Apartments

Winter Term: TBD Move-In Day. Doors will open at 9 AM.

Spring Term: March 31, 2024, is Move-In Day. Doors will open at 9 AM.

Summer Term: June 15, 2024, is Move-In Day. Doors will open at 9 AM.

WHERE:

Go directly to the residence hall you have been assigned to. Parking permits are not required during move-in.

HOW:

Check-in at your assigned residence hall. Resident Assistants will be available to assist you with your move-in.

BEFORE COMING TO CAMPUS:

Double-check your room assignment. Some assignments may change between the time a room is assigned and move-in day.

  • Go to My.EOU Portal
  • Click on “EOU Housing Portal”
  • Main Self Service Page-Locate “Assignments”

Consider obtaining renter’s insurance for valuables not covered by an existing insurance policy.
Schedule the delivery of any personal items that you may be shipping to arrive shortly before you do so that you will be able to pick up your belongings when you arrive.

MOVE-IN FAQs

1. Where is check-in?

Proceed directly to your assigned residence hall. There will be signs as to where you check-in at the hall.

2. Where can I get a moving cart?

A limited number of moving carts or dollies are located at each residence hall. You might also consider bringing one from home.

3. Where should I park after I have unloaded the car?

The Move-In page indicates where you can park after unloading your car. “Move-In” and “Resident” parking signs will also be posted on the day of your arrival.

4. Where do I put trash, cardboard, etc.?

There will be cardboard collection sites located outside of each residence hall for your assorted move-in boxes. For trash, there are bins outside each residence hall.

5. Where are the public restrooms?

All residence halls have public restrooms. Check at the hall office for locations.

6. Where do I turn in my room inventory sheet?

You will receive a room inventory sheet when you check-in. After completing the inventory sheet, turn it into your RA or the hall office.

7. What time do the dining facilities open?

Lunch hours are 11:30-1:30 and dinner hours are 5:00-7:00 at Mountie Cafe. Your meal plan begins with dinner on Move-In Day. Mac’s Grill will be open on Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm.

8. I lost my key(s), what do I do?

If you lose your key, go to the Residence Life Office in Hoke 216 and report it. You will be charged for the re-keying of your room and/or suite.

9. How do I get my parking permit?

You may purchase your parking permit online or at the Student Financial Services Office, Inlow Hall 101.
