Anthropology/Sociology gives students an opportunity to explore people and the societies in which they live. Graduates find success in graduate programs as well in applied settings such as archaeological research, human services, social welfare and more.


Linda Jerofke

Dr. Linda Reed-Jerofke, Ph.D.

Professor of Anthropology

Dr. Linda Reed-Jerofke has spent the last 20 years teaching anthropology and/or working as an applied anthropologist with Tribes and as an archaeologist. Her research interests are varied and include nutritional/medical anthropology, Native Peoples of North America and archaeology. She has received funding from the NW Health Foundation as well as the National Institute of Health to study childhood obesity in rural communities. Publications have focused on Native Peoples, nutritional anthropology and archaeology.
