Security Services

Mission Statement

Our mission is to serve the EOU community with respect, fairness and compassion. We seek to provide a safe and secure environment for our campus community.

We provide patrol services to the campus on a 24/7, 365-day basis. We believe in serving the campus through courteous and prompt assistance and to treat all we meet with professionalism and respect.

Campus Emergencies

If you see a crime in progress, call 911 to report it!

  • You do not need to dial a prefix, just dial 911.
    • If you call 911 from a campus phone, an alert will go out to Campus Security telling the team you have dialed 911. We will then try to reach you.
  • If it looks like a crime to you, call 911.

Security Services

What services do we offer to campus?

  • We lock and unlock buildings and offices.
  • We patrol and monitor the cameras set up around campus.
  • We assist the La Grande Police and the La Grande Fire & Rescue any time
    they are called to campus.
  • We provide personal safety for our students, faculty, staff and visitors.
  • We protect University property and work to prevent crime.
  • We enforce University policies.

What can EOU Security do for you?

  • Unlock your office door when needed.
  • Walk you to and from your vehicle.
  • We have a portable battery and are happy to assist if you need your vehicle
    jump-started.  Sorry, we cannot help you if you lock your keys inside.
  • Lost and Found:
    • Items lost on campus are turned into offices all over campus. Eventually, the items make their way to Campus Security. If you lose anything on campus, call or email us and we’ll add it to our log. If it is turned in, we’ll contact you.
