*COFA, Undocumented, and International Student Success Award* Eastern Oregon University welcomes students from other countries who hold an F-1 visa, part of COFA (Federated States of Micronesia, the Marshall Islands, Palau) or those who are undocumented living in the United States to pursue higher education. Eastern Oregon University is committed to providing opportunities to assist students in successfully accomplishing academic goals. The following scholarship is designated for new international, COFA, undocumented freshman, transfer, and current EOU students. Recipients of this award receive scholarships ranging from $500-$2,500. The application opens each November 1st, and the submission deadline is March 1st, for fall term. Please submit application and essay to the Financial Aid office.This award requires a completed application, typed essay, and transcripts of education background.
The Office of Student Access and Completion, OSAC, offers a variety of financial assistance programs including the OSAC scholarships. OSAC scholarships have varied criteria. OSAC awards more than $18 million in scholarships to students each year. Please see the OSAC website for more information about scholarship options.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund
The HSF presently offers access to two separate scholarship programs. Their general program, which has run for many years, is available for people of Hispanic ethnicity from underprivileged backgrounds. It is not just for high school students looking to enter college, but also existing undergraduate and postgraduate students looking to further their studies and research – this includes doctorates with a view to carrying on into teaching and researching at college. The value of the fund ranges from $500 to $5,000. You have a higher chance of acceptance if you are studying a STEM subject. Requirement: Minimum 3.0 GPA for High School Students. Minimum 2.5GPA for college students (undergraduate and postgraduate). You also need to have completed the FAFSA application.
Gates Millennium Foundation
Set up by Bill Gates to enable the underprivileged into higher education, applicants must be an ethnic minority within the US and either a citizen, permanent resident or American National. It is a full scholarship fund that can be applied for undergraduate, postgraduate,or doctoral studies. You must have applied for the PELL grant to be eligible.

American Indian College Fund
The American Indian College Fund was established in 1989 to provide scholarships to American Indian/Alaska Native students attending tribal colleges, and to fund and create awareness about the community-based accredited tribal colleges and universities that offer students access to knowledge and skills alongside Native culture, language, and values. The American Indian College Fund also provides scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students attending any other accredited public and non-profit private college all across the United States.
Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF)
The Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF) is the nation’s largest 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides college scholarships to Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) with financial need. Our mission is to make a difference in the lives of APIA students by providing them with resources that increase their access to higher education which serves as the foundation for their future success and contributions to a stronger America.
APIASF/AT&T Scholarship
As a partner scholarship program through APISASF, AT&T has teamed up to provide a one-time $2,500 scholarship. In addition to the minimum qualifications provided by APIASF, the student must also plan to enroll in a U.S. accredited college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking, first-year student.
SR Education Group Graduate Scholarship for Teachers
Teachers are both underpaid and overworked in the United States. In recognition of the contributions they make and the financial challenges they face, SR Education Group is awarding $20,000 in annual scholarships for teachers pursuing graduate degrees. Scholarships will be awarded 4 times a year in the amount of $5,000. To provide our judges with a true understanding of each applicant, he or she must answer two open-ended, personal, and thought-provoking questions. The students whose responses are the most persuasive, compelling, and well-written, as judged by our panel, will be considered finalists.
Udall Foundation
The Udall Foundation awards scholarships to college sophomores and juniors for leadership, public service, and commitment to issues related to American Indian nations or to the environment. James Carlson Memorial Scholarship
Applicant must be an Oregon resident, be enrolled or planning to enroll full time in a program leading to a bachelor’s degree or a teaching certificate in elementary or secondary education, and demonstrate financial need. Preference is given to African-American, Asian, Hispanic, or Native American applicants, dependents of Oregon Education Association members, or applicants who demonstrate a commitment to teach autistic children.
