EOU Writing Tutors participated in the 2016 TYCA-PNW/PNWCA Conference held on October 21-22, 2016, at Oregon State University in Corvallis. Pacific Northwest Writing Centers Association (PNWCA) is a regional affiliate of the International Writing Centers Association (IWCA).
The 2016 conference theme was “Beyond Good Intentions,” inspiring the following presentations:

Will Bowman, Writing Tutor and recent EOU graduate, won this gorgeous bowl as a door prize while attending the 2015 Northwest Tutoring Center Conference (NWTCC), “Reaching the Summit of Success,” held February 28, 2015, at Green River College in Washington. This conference included presentations by tutors, faculty, and administrators who provide writing and subject tutoring. Will tutored MBA students during his last year as an EOU student.
Tutors meet regularly to discuss what’s happening in the Writing Center and to discuss strategies for tutoring writing in different situations.
