Meet at the bus shelter near the corner of 6th and I Avenues at 9:00 this morning ready for a day meeting people who use different kinds of knowledge, values, and stories to shape and sustain La Grande.
We’ll be traveling around town by public transportation (free to all riders Monday through Saturday) plus walking about a mile total throughout the day.
We will be off campus until at least 3:00 this afternoon so pack water and clothes you’ll be comfortable in throughout the day. You’ll also need to bring a pen and a notebook.
Likely hosts and stops: Grande Ronde Hospital, Union County Senior Center (where we’ll also have lunch), Center for Human Development, Department of Human Services, Oregon Rural Action, Eastern Oregon COFA Alliance National Network, La Grande Main Street Association, Community Kindness, NEON, and other organizations and businesses in downtown La Grande. Check the Yellow Route map on the Community Connections website or download the SPOT app if you want to see our route in advance.
